Ever heard of “happy hour marketing?”
Most inspectors probably haven’t…
But after reading this, you’ll know exactly what it is and how to use it.
You see, most people love a good happy hour networking event.
It brings people together. When done right, it will help you make new friends and better influence realtors to work with you.
Here’s how you can you use the power of happy hour to stand out from other inspectors and have fun in the process (yay beer!).
The Easy and Fun Way to Stand out From Other Inspectors: Using the “Happy Hour Marketing” Hack
As you know, your best source of business is realtors.
Forget all the paid ads stuff, SEO, and Instagram reels for now…
Getting to know realtors and doing business with them is your bread and butter.
And of the best way to do that is through live presentations at the office.
You might be thinking, “But I already do those.” If so, congrats!
That’s just one piece of the puzzle. You see, most inspectors (the good ones) already do these. But if you add this second piece, the post-presentation happy hour, you’ll set yourself apart from everyone else.
Here’s how you do it…
The Post-Presentation Happy Hour Mixer/Business Builder
Ok, so you’re in the office and just delivered a kick-ass presentation.
Now what? Do you say thanks and hope they call you like everyone else?
NOPE! You’re going to take this opportunity to invite them to the after-party.
Here’s how you can make it happen:
1. Reach out to local restaurants in your area – Find a restaurant that is business-friendly. Work out a deal to bring them your group of realtors on a slower day (Monday – Wednesday). It’s a win-win. They need business and you’re looking for a venue.
2. Negotiate – You’re not trying to blow the bank here. Shop around and see which restaurant will give you a good price per drink for bringing in your happy hour friends. Have them give you drink tickets (2 per person) for the event.
3. Sign people in – In order for realtors to join the happy hour, they have to sign in with you. Have a clipboard that gets their name and email. This is to generate an email list so you can market to them.
4. Work The Room! – Take this opportunity to speak to every realtor you can. Find out how you can help them in their business. Make friends and take a genuine interest in the goals.
5. Follow Up! – Now that you have a big beautiful email list of new friends, send them an email, or even better, write them a handwritten thank you note thanking them for attending your happy hour.
6. Market to your List – Add value by sending educational emails each week. The next time one of these realtors needs a home inspector, who do you think they’ll think of…?
Stand Out And WIN
Happy hour marketing is an easy, low-risk way to grow your home inspection business.
You’ll make friends, and influence the very people you need to grow your business.
Now, contrast this with Instagram reels, paid ads, SEO, Etc…
Instead of waiting for realtors to come to you, you’re going to them.
This proactive approach will make you stand out in the eyes of realtors and grow your home inspection empire.
