How many home inspection reviews do you have right now?
Twenty, fifty? A hundred?
Whatever number you have, I can guarantee you need more. A LOT MORE.
Besides, having TOO MANY reviews isn’t a thing. That’s like saying you have too much money in the bank…
Do enough good work, and people will rave about you. But ASKING for reviews is an easy way to help you land more clients and grow your home inspection business.
Just think about it for a moment… When people look up home inspectors in their area (most people use Google), what will they be looking at? Well, if you have a great website and a professional-looking brand, they will no doubt look at your reviews (or lack thereof).
Now, what happens when you have 5 reviews and the other guy has 500+? It’s a no-brainer: they’ll go with the other guy.
Don’t let this be you. Below I’ll show you three simple ways to get extra reviews and grow your business (and not lose out to the other guy).
Get More Home Inspection Reviews And Grow (Action Steps)
Ok, you understand the importance of reviews, and now you’re ready to get more of them.
But where and how should you start?
Below you’ll discover the three main ways to scoop up more reviews and grow your business.
For every inspection you perform, make it a point to include one or more of these tactics every time. Do this, and I promise your home inspection business will grow.
1. Ask For Home Inspection Reviews On The Spot
This is by far the easiest way to get reviews. After you complete the inspection with the client, ask them the following questions (customize it as appropriate):
1. Are you happy with the service I provided you today?
2. What did you like about it?
3. Do you mind sharing that with others through a review? Your feedback helps me deliver excellent service to other people just like you.
At this point, when you get a YES and they feel good about the service you gave them, point them to a QR code that takes them directly to the review site on their phone. Tell them, “It only takes a minute.”
These questions also give you feedback that can help you improve your home inspection service in the future.
2. Send Out Emails/Automated Texts After The Inspection
This is not as effective as getting reviews on the spot, but it will help. If you couldn’t get a review during the inspection, send them an email/text and remind them.
You can also do this for past clients who’ve used your services. If it’s been a long time, consider sending them direct mail to reintroduce yourself. You can also include an incentive offer (Starbucks gift card) to leave you a glowing review.
3. Contact Past Realtors And Ask Them For Reviews
Think back to realtors you’ve worked with in the past. Have you asked them for reviews? Most will be happy to leave you one if you did great work.
This is a dead easy way to get more home inspection reviews for your business. Think about it: You’ve already worked with them, they like you (hopefully), and would be happy to work with you again. So why would they say no? And more importantly, why haven’t you asked them for a review yet?!
The “Home Inspection Marketer” Mindset
Getting extra reviews is about more than just sending emails and messages to clients.
Getting extra reviews is a mindset. It’s a way of doing business. When you start seeing yourself as more than just a home inspector, and start seeing yourself as a home inspection marketer, this will become more natural to you.
The keys are in your hands. When your reviews go up, you’ll start seeing more bookings on your calendar over time.
